Texas Stars Hockey at Cedar Park Center
Hockey and Texas Stars = Big deal! Why, Yes as a matter of fact, it is. I am talking about none other than the famous American Hockey League team – the Texas Stars hockey team. Their home arena, as we all know, is at Cedar Park Center – an indoor arena located, of course, in Cedar Park TX just north of Austin, Texas.
Founded in 2009, the Texas Stars hockey team is actually a top affiliate of National Hockey League Dallas Stars.
The Texas Stars’ franchise history started in 1999 as ‘Louisville Panthers’ then come 2005, it became Iowa Stars to Iowa Chops in 2008. Les Jackson, the current director, does a good job in managing the team’s scouting and player development. Scott White, a veteran of 6 American Hockey League seasons, is the team’s general manager.
Jeff Pyle, the current and second head coach of the team, started to coach the team in July 2011. Being a former hockey player himself, he has proven to be one of the best head coach out there. Glen Gulutzan was the former head coach of the Texas Stars but he left the team in June 2011 to coach the Dallas Stars. Jeff Truitt is the current assistant coach of the team – given the role last July 2011 as well. DJ Amadio, a certified athletic trainer, is the athletic trainer of the team. With Brian Garcia as the Head Equipment Manager and Thomas Anderson as the Assistant Equipment manager, the team’s equipments are always ready for use.

The Texas Stars hockey team definitely has a lot of fans out there. Aside from being ever so oh-good-looking, they really are one of the best when it comes to the world of hockey. They make hockey a very enjoyable event. As a team, Texas Stars was able to receive tons of reviews from their ‘viewers’. One family said that they really enjoyed the game and would certainly recommend it as a ‘must-watch’ game for all the families out there. An avid hockey fan also said that Texas Stars hockey team is really very promising. He said that he was very happy with the team so far and every scored goal and ruckus are all worth it.
The Texas Stars hockey team has a long list of schedule ahead of them. Some of the upcoming opponents will be Oklahoma City Barons, Rochester Americans, San Antonio Rampage, Rockford Icehogs, Abbotsford Heat, Peoria Rivermen, Houston Aeros, Milwaukee Admirals, Grand Rapids Griffins, Chicago Wolves, Lake Erie Monsters and Hamilton Bulldogs.
