About Trans-Siberian Orchestra: The Lost Christmas Eve:
Did you know? Well, since you’re here, you probably already do. Trans-Siberian Orchestra is on tour! They will be performing live on stage at Cedar Park Center on December 20, 2012. Five days before Christmas! What a great gift, right?
It’s a really wonderful event just before Christmas as this is the first time that they will be performing ‘The Lost Christmas Eve’ live. We, here at CedarParkEvents.com, think that this is a really big occasion not just for rock opera and Trans-Siberian Orchestra fans out there, but also to everyone who loves to watch top-notch acts and listen to great music.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra 101
Trans-Siberian Orchestra (or TSO for short) is a band formed in 1993. TSO is a progressive metal band – and more. Their music is categorized under the genres progressive rock, neo-classical metal, symphonic rock, holiday music and classical music. The band was produced by Paul O’Neill. He’s also the lyricist and a composer for the band. He is really good at his craft as other than this band, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, he was also able to produce and manage other famous rock bands (AC/DC, Aerosmith, etc.) that we all still know and love now. Aside from O’Neill, the band also has other composers: Jon Oliva, Al Pitrelli and Robert Kinkel.
At the moment, the band’s members are the following: April Berry, Chloe Lowery, Rob Evan, Georgia Napolitano, Chris Pinnella, Ronny Munroe, Kayla Reeves, Andrew Ross and Natalya Rose Piette for vocals; Chris Caffery and Al Pitrelli for guitar; Roddy Chong for strings; Mee Eun Kim and Vitalij Kuprij for keyboards; John Lee Middleton for bass; Jeff Plate for drums; and, Bryan Hicks as the storyteller. When they are on tour performing, they are joined by other talented musicians and performers as well.
The Lost Christmas Eve: A rock opera
Trans-Siberian Orchestra is more than just your usual rock band. They are so much (and I mean sooo much) more than that.
The Lost Christmas Eve is actually the name of Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s fourth album, which was released in October 2004. It is the final album in their very well-known ‘Christmas trilogy’. The first two installments, ‘Christmas Eve and Other Stories’ and ‘The Christmas Attic’, were released in October 1996 and September 1998 respectively. These albums were a big hit – still is though, I believe. And as I’ve mentioned, this is the first time that they will be performing The Lost Christmas Eve live… So, it’s definitely a big deal!
As you know, this is a rock opera so it will be super exciting. This isn’t your usual rock concert. Since ‘The Lost Christmas Eve’ has a story, you’ll love the performance even better. The story is a touching one; it talks about ‘loss and redemption’. It will be soooo much fun; I can already tell!
